Protection of privacy of erasm.us users is very important to us. Below you can find set of basic principles that we follow:

• We never ask you for personal information that we don't need. All the information we collect is essential for the useful features of erasm.us

Komisji Edukacji Narodowej 36/11, 02-797 Warsaw, Poland registered in Registry of Entrepreneurs of City of Warsaw, number 47890. The server and the database are placed in a secure data center and only limited number of authorized employees have access to them. Our priority is protection of the data stored at our servers.

Visitors

Like nearly all the websites, we collect general information about all visitors of our site. This public data can include your IP address, browser type, operating system and language, referral site and the time and date of the visit. We collect this information for statistical purposes, what's more its analysis helps us to identify possible errors and continually improve erasm.us. As we use Google Analytics, the same set of data is collected by Google according to their Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html).
We reserve the right to publish aggregated statistics about erasm.us visitors. These statistics don't contain information allowing for identification of individual visitors and their activity on the site.We donot identify individual users based on the information described above, but we use cookies -see the separate chapter to learn why and how we do it.

Registered users

Some features of the erasm.us require registration at the platform. During the registration process you are required to provide personal information including e-mail address, identification number of the account on Facebook (in case of registration by using Facebook Connect) and a unique user name.We collect personal information listed above, and other information about users, in order to provide them with useful functionalities of the platform, such as adding and reading reviews of foreign universities, creating university rankings, carrying discussions on  the forum or sending private messages to other users. E-mail addresses collected during registration process are used by the Administrator to contact individual users. They are also used to automatically send them a forgotten password, as well as to notify them about certain events on the site (such as adding a new opinion about specific university, receiving private message etc.). Registered users are able to decide which events will trigger the site to send them an e-mail notification to the address provided during registration process. The Administrator is obliged not to send unwanted e-mails (SPAM) to users. Registered users have the right to modify their personal details and permanently remove the account from the site.

Cookies

Like the vast majority of the websites uses cookies. Thanks to them you can login to erasm.us and we can identify you, when you come back to our website. We can also save information about your preferences when using certain features of the platform. Cookies also help us to monitor user traffic between different parts of erasm.us, as well as between erasm.us and partner sites. Information stored in cookies enables us to carry statistics of the platform and improve its functions. In case you don’t want us to save cookies at your computer, you should turn them off in your browser settings. This will, however, disable many features of erasm.us including registration and login so we don’t recommend doing so.

Advertisements and links to other websites

Erasm.us reserves right to publish ads on the platform. Ads can be provided by the Administrator himself or third-parties. We are not responsible for the content of the pages which are advertised on the platform. Any comments or complaints about the ads displayed on erasm.us can be send to the Administrator using the contact form.
Erasm.us platform can also contain links added by users. Again, we are not responsible for the content of the linked sites, nor for the reliability of the information they contain. The Administrator will take steps in order to prevent publishing links to inappropriate or illegal websites on the platform.
Remember that we are not responsible for Privacy Policies of third-parties websites linked on the platform. We suggest you to to read these documents before providing third-party websites with your personal information.

Changes in Privacy Policy

• This Privacy Policy is available at http://erasm.us/en/pages/privacy-policy
• The Administrator reserves the right to make changes to the Privacy Policy at any time and without giving any reason.
• When changing the Privacy Policy, the Administrator shall notify users about the changes and change the version and effective date below.
